Educating Thalia

It’s TRUE! @devikafernando and @avenger-nerd-mom are working on a collaboration together involving Professor Hiddleston and Professor Evans! The two are rivals at a posh New England university and have no idea they both have taken interest in the lovely Thalia Bareo. She’s a grad student with interests in language and history; a sassy full-figured Puerto Rican girl from Chicago.

The Best of Two Worlds

I need the moon to light the dark

And ignite in me that secret spark

I need the sun to brighten my days

And be my strength, my saving grace

I need the rain to nurture my dreams

I need the wind to swallow my screams

I need the frenzied summer and the balmy spring

The colors and calm cold that fall and winter bring

A man who makes the good girl want to sin

A man who accepts all my flaws with a grin

A man who takes charge and surprises me forever

A man who makes me whole when we’re together

Someone to lean on when I don’t feel strong

And someone who recognizes my inner song

Someone who takes away all the hurt but is free like a bird

Someone who knows my worth and hangs onto every word

I want it all, why do I have to choose?

If I give all of myself, what’s there to lose?

The tantalizing flavor of tea made just so

The reassuring bitterness of coffee to go

A smart cat that keeps me on my toes

A loyal dog that takes away my woes

Heated kisses that make me see stars

Lingering touches that leave no scars

A bruising grip and a gentle caress

Comfy shorts and a gorgeous dress

Forbidden moments I’ll never forget

And easy decisions I’ll never regret

The security that common interests breed

And the right answers for my devious need

I want to be cherished but be my own girl,

I want to have the best of two worlds.
